As quite a few conventions take place in the area, I have been working to put this together to help people who are unfamiliar with the area decide where to eat. Directly across River Road from the convention center is a small cluster of hotels. Each hotel has one or more places to eat inside, as well, for those who do not wish to venture far from their hotel.
Next to the Allstate Arena (which will forever be the Rosemont Horizon to some of us), there is a small shopping center with a great variety of food joints to choose from. There are also a couple of spots across from the Arena as well.
