Open for lunch (brunch on the weekend) and dinner, Fogo de Chao is a unique dining experience. Come hungry, because they will stuff you silly! Your meal starts with a trip to the large, beautifully laid out salad bar full of amazing food and lots of delicious cheese (my favorite part!) Then once you finish that, turn over your colored disc and let the parade of meat begin! Waiters will come by with different kinds of meat on a large skewer and offer you a piece, which they slice off onto your plate. While there are a few other options (usually at least one chicken item), it is pretty much all different varieties of beef, so if you do not or cannot eat beef, don’t order the “Full Churrasco Experience.” There are other dishes available, though, such as salmon or sea bass, and there is the option to just eat the salad bar items (which is more than enough to make a meal!)
While I haven’t dined here as often as I would like, for multiple reasons, the few times I have been it was well worth it. The cost is a bit high (go for lunch on a weekday for the cheapest price), but when you see how much food you get for that cost, it definitely does not seem overpriced! Everything is delicious and fresh.
On their website, the restaurant does state that gluten free options are available, and to call ahead.
