Birthday Freebie List 2016
A lot of friends have been curious about how I manage so many free things for my birthday (this year’s count – 64 offers received!) so I thought I’d put up a post detailing what I got for everyone’s reference.
This will be in chronological order of when I got the freebie/offer/etc, since that’s how I have them listed in my master list.
Hollywood Blvd Cinema (Woodridge, IL) Sign up for their birthday club and get a coupon good for up to 8 free admissions (with the disclaimer that each person needs to buy one thing – at least a soda or popcorn). Extra charge for 3D. Cannot be used Fri or Sat, nor the opening weekend of a film. Also seems like Disney owned film companies are excluded now. Good all month.

Medieval Times (Schaumburg, IL & other cities) Birthday celebrants get a coupon good for one free adult dinner with the purchase of one. Good all month.
Domo 77 Japanese restaurant (Aurora, Wheaton, Glendale Heights, IL) Birthday celebrant gets $25 off coupon. Good all month.
Superdawg (Chicago, Wheeling, IL) Sign up and for both birthday and anniversary (if you give them an anniversary date) get a free Supersandwich and drink. Good up to 30 days after birthday/anniversary month.
Auntie Anne’s Pretzels Signup is through their app. Under their Pretzel Perks program, you get a free pretzel for your birthday (good til the end of the month I think, I didn’t see a date on it this year). Perks program also nets coupons and deals throughout the year, and if you make sure your card gets scanned, points toward free pretzels.
Red Robin Burgers Red Robin Royalty program nets a free burger for the birthday (good all month). Also, every 10th burger is free and you can choose a school to get funds based on what you spend.
Fox & Hound Sports Tavern Join their All Star Club and get a free entree for your birthday. Good til the end of the month.
Lettuce Entertain You restaurants Join their Frequent Diner Club, get a $15 credit to use at restaurants (did not see an expiration, probably end of month).
AMC Theatres Join AMC Stubs program. Free program nets a free large popcorn (good all month), Premiere level ($15/year) nets a free large popcorn and soda.
Torrid (clothing store) Join Torrid Insider, get a birthday coupon for $10 off (good all month)
California Pizza Kitchen Join Pizza Dough Rewards, get a free birthday dessert (good all month)
Nintendo 30% off a digital title (from a select list), good all month
Dippin’ Dots Sign up for their rewards program and get a free cup of Dippin Dots for your birthday (good all month)
Hot Topic Sign up for their loyalty program, HT Guest List, get a $10 off coupon (min $30 purchase) for your birthday, good all month
Kohl’s Sign up for their Kohl’s Yes2You Rewards program, get $5 off for your birthday, good all month (plus tons of other coupons/offers through the year; sign up for a Kohl’s Charge and get even more sales/coupons/offers)
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt Sign up for their loyalty program, MySmileage, and get a free yogurt (up to $5 value) for your birthday (good all month), plus other rewards
Melting Pot fondue restaurantJoin Club Fondue, get a free box of their signature chocolate covered strawberries for your birthday (good for a few months – mine expires at the beginning of February, for a mid-November birthday)
Cold Stone Creamery Join their eClub, get a BOGO birthday ice cream (buy one get one free of the same size ice cream), good for two weeks (a week before and a week after your birthday), plus a $3 off a cake coupon
Buca di Beppo Italian restaurant Join their eClub, get a free birthday cake (minimum party of 4, advance reservation required) plus $15 off. Good all month
Pizza Hut Create an account and include birthday, get a code for a free order of cinnamon sticks with an online order, good for a couple of days past the birthday month
Krispy Kreme Join their loyalty program, get a free doughnut and small coffee, good all month
GameStop Join PowerUp Rewards, get a coupon for 20% off one used game, good all month
Godiva Chocolate Join their loyalty program, get a coupon good for $10 off any purchase in the store, good all month
Which Wich sandwiches Join their Vibe Club, get a coupon for a free 7″ sub, good all month
Famous Dave’s Join their BBQ Insider club, get a coupon good for buy one entree, get one half off, good all month
Corner Bakery Join their eCafe program, get a free bakery sweet, good for 7 days past the birthday

Honeybaked Ham Sign up for their email list, get a free ham sandwich, good until the birthday
Portillo’s Sign up for their email list, get a free slice of their signature chocolate cake, good until 7 days after the birthday
Miller’s Ale House Sign up for their Raving Fans Club, get a coupon good for free zingers or free dessert, good until 7 days after the birthday
Lou Malnati’s Sign up for their email club, get a free dessert, good until 7 days after the birthday
Noodles & Company Sign up for their eClub, get a free birthday krispy, good until 7 days after the birthday
Dairy Queen Join the Blizzard Fan Club, get a Buy One Get One Free Blizzard coupon, good for 7 days after the birthday
Wingstop Sign up for their eclub, get a free large fries, good until 7 days after the birthday
Uniqso Sign up for an account, get a $5 code plus a gift (gift may depend what you buy, I bought contact lenses & got a cute case), good until just past the end of the month
Kick’s Chicken Cafe Sign up for their loyalty program, get a free sandwich, good until 7 days past the birthday
Thornton’s Sign up for their Refreshing Rewards card, and a 10 cent off a gallon reward, good until the end of the month, will be loaded. Also, 10 cents off a gallon anytime you fill up in your first 30 days of membership, 3 cents off a gallon all the time once you reach VIP level (25 visits), plus other rewards
Baskin Robbins Free scoop of ice cream or soft serve, good until 5 days after the birthday
Olive Garden Sign up for eClub, get a free dessert with entree purchase, good for 9 days past the birthday
Longhorn Steakhouse Join the eClub, get a free dessert, good for 10 days past the birthday
Buona Beef Join their loyalty program (there’s an app!), get a free sandwich, good for 7 days past the birthday
Panera Bread Join their MyPanera rewards program, get a free birthday pastry, good for a couple months past the birthday (mine expires in January for a mid-November birthday), plus other rewards for visiting frequently
Dunkin Donuts Join DDPerks, get a free drink, good for a couple months past the birthday (mine expires in Feb for a November birthday)
Starbucks Register a card, get a free birthday drink. Not sure the expiration (it didn’t say), but it’s usually good until the end of the month.
Michael’s Arts & Crafts Sign up for the rewards program, get a 50% off one item and 20% off all regular price item coupons, good for about 10 days past the birthday
TGI Fridays Join their loyalty program, get a free dessert, good for almost a month after the birthday. Plus also accumulate points toward free entrees or desserts, etc.
Einstein Bros Bagels Join the email club, get a free egg sandwich with drink purchase, good all month
Sprinkles Cupcakes Join their loyalty program, get a free cupcake, good for a little over a week past the birthday
Cinnabon Join their email list, get a free iced coffee, good all month
Culver’s Join their email club, get a free sundae, good all month
Applebee’s Join their email club get a free dessert, good for a month past the birthday
Marcus Theatres Join their rewards program, get a free 20oz drink, good for a month past the birthday
Jersey Mike’s Subs Join their email club, get a free sub and drink, good for a full YEAR after the birthday (it literally expires the day before my birthday next year)
Wendy’s Join MyWendy’s, get a coupon for $1 off a premium combo, good for a month past the birthday
Gameworks Join their rewards program, get a $10 meal credit and several 30 min game cards, good until the end of the month
Disney Movie Rewards Bonus points sent on the birthday
Emerald Loop Bar & Grill Sign up for their email list, get a coupon for buy one entree get one free (not sure the expiration)
BD15 Decals & Props Join their loyalty program, get 250 points for your birthday (worth about $2.50 in purchases)
Shop Your Way Rewards (K-Mart/Sears) Sign up for rewards, get bonus “surprise points” for birthday
Phew! This year I got 64 rewards, and as of this writing I’ve been able to redeem 19 (planning to knock out a couple more tonight and more next week). The fun is trying to plan and plot to redeem as many as possible, the tradeoff is I do get a lot of extra emails all year long but I don’t mind.
